Dating is like a game of chess, you just need to learn when to make the right move. Make girls fall at your feet by following these simple steps.  

1. Girls love to be complimented, this doesn't need to be corny lines like "your eyes are like starlight" etc. Even simple compliments about their clothes or how they act work wonders. If you notice something new you like about your girl, share it with her.
2. Having a sense of humour is a definite turn on. This may not come naturally to some people, but make an effort in the funny stakes. Telling really old bad jokes with a flat punch line should be avoided. If you have any amusing stories about your past, bring these up and embellish details. Often being amused and smiling about something will rub off on your partner.
3. Be a gentleman at all times. Simple things like holding the door open for your girl to walk through are old favorites. Be courteous at all times, if you are an older couple don't bring up the girls age for example. Don't tell stories of what you did with your mates in Mallorca. Be a gent.
4. Show your caring side. Ever had a childhood pet? If you have any stories about looking after it, or how you felt when it died share these with your girl. Are you concerned about kids in Africa? Let her know this too, try not to go too far and come over as a soppy looser though.
5. Be cool. If you are scared to death about a first date, don't let it show. Remember there are plenty more fish in the sea, and if she doesn't like you she must be mad. If you're on a dinner date don't agonise over what to eat. Girls love decisive men. If in doubt order a steak or the most manly red meat you can find. If she wants wine suggest a bottle you think would be good (not the cheapest one or you will look like a cheapskate.)
6. Gifts are good. Nearly all girls love to get flowers. Don't turn up on a first date with a bunch though. She won't know what to do with them and will feel awkward. The first time you are invited to her house take a bunch. Flowers and chocolates at the same time are overkill in my opinion.
7. Be interested in her. What family does she have? What was it like for her growing up? What are her friends like? Don't bore her with what you do at work, get to know her inside out. By showing you are interested, your longer term chances are improved, and she will see you're not just after a quick fling.
